2001 jeep cherokee sport. Was running fine. My son took it out, fishtailed on a wet road, smashed the passenger side rear tire area into a stone wall. Rim and leaf spring were damaged along with body damage. QUESTION IS,, Since he hit the wall I have not been able to start the Jeep. The battery is strong, the engine cranks with no problems. I don't know yet if it is a fuel problem or an ignition problem. Where should I start ? Is the fuel pump mechanical or electric? Is it located in the rear of the vechical?
Could it have been damaged by the shock of the accident. OR is there some kind of a switch, fuse ,relay. circuit breaker , sensor or something else that may have been damaged that would have killed the ignition spark. Any info, would be greatly appreciated.

Check the wires to the fuel pum and the fuel pump...it's in the gas tank! It's electric and will die on impact...No seriosly find the inertia switch, these fuel pumps are electric and high pressure...the are dissabled in an accident, find the switch and push the button and the car should start! Owners manual will tell you where this is!
