Electrical problem
2000 Jeep Cherokee 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

my truck has plenty of battery power, the lights were bright, horn was loud, radio and all worked fine, but it would not crank. Starter made a clicking noise, but never tried to turn over. I thought it may be the negative to the battery, but did not know.

Hello,

Ok, just because your lights, horn, radio and all work fine doesn't mean you don't have a bad battery.

Your battery can be fully charged and show 12.68v on a Multi meter. However, if the Cold Cranking Amps are low then you get the clicking when trying to start it. And you can't check the CCA with a multimeter. You need a Battery Tester.

Have you tried Jump Starting it? If not give it a try. If it starts take it to your local auto parts store and have them check your battery. They will do it for free.

Post findings here.
