Engine Mechanical problem
1999 Jeep Cherokee V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

My 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee wont start and last night when I was driving I hit a really bumpy road and my Jeep started to sputter it eventually stopped receiving gas when we stepped on the pedal causing it to stop completely. Now when I try to start it, it will turn over I hear a hum, it will sputter a little and then click click click. The lights are working and there is half a tank of gas in the vehicle. How can I get it to start to at least get it home?

Welcome to the forum, call the tow truck, get it home, then you work on it at your liesure. We can trouble shoot it, but, on the side of some busy street, isn't the place to do it. Besides the original problem, sounds like the battery is run down? Make sure the battery has a full charge, check for spark at the plugs, engine cranking. Also, use a gage and check fuel pressure.
