Okay, I'm 40 years old and not an auto person by any means. My ex husband normally did the car thing. I have this Jeep and it's been running fine, but I'm sure I should be doing things to it periodically. What do I need to check? I CAN NOT afford a new vehicle as the ex-SOB is not paying child support. (Sorry, Domestic violence and child abuse issues)

So, What types of things do I need to keep track of?

Hi there,

Check the basics and you should be on top of any real problems before they cause any grief, check the engine oil, trans oil, coolant, brake fluid, washer fluid. Test tyre pressures and check lights & accessories fluid levels should be checked weekly if you are not sure how to do this safely, your local mechanic will be able to show you the safe way to check your fluids.
