Hi, when I turn on the ac or the defroster my engine fan keeps switching on and off and the voltage meter fluctuates. This does not happen when I use the regular heater. I would like to know if this behavior is normal.

For the fan to be working when AC and or defrost on YES

volt fluctuates
check charging system and alternator
check battery and terminals
