WHAT ARE SOME OF THE PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH OVERFILLING YOUR TRANSMISSION. THERE IS A RUMBLE WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN DRVE. DO NOT DO IT IN REVERSE.

You didn't indicate if this was when jeep in 4 wd or 2wd, did you overfill the Transmission or the Transfer Case? In reverse, you can only go so fast SAFELY, so, is the "rumble" change with increasing engine speed, or stay the same no matter how fast/slow you go? Is it just noise, or it there also VIBRATION that goes with it? Can you isolate it further?

The rumble starts sitting still and it increases with speed. It feels like it does when you ride on knobby tires (i have straight treads). I have checked the mounts and they are fine. When in reverse the ride is smooth, no rumble at all.

sounds like something out of balance/not perfectly centered, but you haven't said what "gear/mode" you're using...Always 4WD or 2WD? What do you put the selector lever at?
