I just took my Jeep to the mechanic to get fixed. The check engine light was on, and the car was sputtering on take off. It was almost like it was having trouble getting gas. I'd be holding down the pedal, and gas would go to the engine on.. and off... and on... and off.

This only happened sometimes though. And when I got cruising it didnt happen.

The mechanic replaced the o2 sensors, and spark plugs, so I walked out paying $500, and the check engine light went off.

4 hours later the light comes back on. And the same thing happens again. So I take it back in, and 2 days later... they say they dont know what it is. That it may be the catalytic converter thats blowing too cold or something.

They said that the back sensor was saturated in fuel.

I don't know what it could be from here. I'm a little dissapointed in the mechanic that fixed it, but I was wondering if anyone else has any ideas?

You should take the Jeep to a dealer and have them retrieve the check engine light error code using on-board diagnostics system. The error code will indicate exactly what's wrong with the engine/emission system, so a mechanic doesn't have to guess at what's causing the check engine light to come on.
