1997 Jeep Cherokee Blower Motor

I purchased the vehicle from the auction at the time the blower motor was splice into a cigarette lighter adapter and the blower motor worked that way, i rewired it back the way it was supposed to be wired and it's not working, I looked at the resistor it seems to look ok, nothing looks like it is burnt on the inside of it...is there something i can do to check and see what the problem is, or do you have any idea what needs to be done to fix it
