1996 Jeep Cherokee Wet sensor problem

Transmission problem
1996 Jeep Cherokee 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Ok heres the problem. I put a new engine in my jeep and it ran good for about a month then the transmission would down shift to 3rd when I was driving at bout 45 to 55 and it wouldnt shift down or up and it only happens in wet weather.
Please help!

bout 190,000 miles on 4 speed trans

Check fluid in neutral, fill appropriately. Throttle position sensor will cause that shifting issue. Easy cheap fix

The fluid is right and the throttle position sensor I changed it today and now it wont shift through the gears it stays in 1 gear no matter the rpms and it will go in reverse park neutral I dont know whats wrong now it was shifting when I parked it and I bought a brand new tps man please help this is my only means of transportation

Well I'm not sure what happened unless the connection broke when you replaced it. Coul have been a faulty part from the parts store. Weird I've changed those many times with success. I buy and sell these
