Hey guys. Yesterday I changed the power steering pump on my 1996 jeep cherokee 2 door 4wd sport. It has around 190,000 miles. I got the pump on, filled the fluid, and started it up and when I turned the wheel I blew the return line off the pump. I then tightened that clamp down and thought I would be okay. Started it up and tried again and this time the return line blew off of the gearbox. It is a brand new pump and I have no idea what's going on. PLease help. The pump is definitely providing pressure to the gearbox because fluid went everywhere.

Try it one more time with the cap of the resevoir.
It will give the extra pressure somewhere to go.
