Electrical problem
1996 Jeep Cherokee V6 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 95000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
no start - no power to starter when key turned to start. Jumper from batt. to solonoid engine starter works as expected. (initally key would activate starter no start problem existed). check engine light comes on when key turn to run. no codes present. linterior and headlights work as expected. when turn key to start has no effect on lights. 12+ volts at batt. and at PDC. All fuses and relays check-out ok. No voltage at distributor coil, etc. I checked wire from PDC with key on and key turned to start. No voltage reading present from PDC. I was told my problem was probably the Power Control Module or the ignition switch. I do not know how to check the PCM or switch. your assistance will be appreciated and rewarded.
