I have the Grand Cherokee, the oil tank was completely empty so I refilled it. I see a small leak overnight on the ground in the morning. The car is running rougher and I am wondering if these problems can be diagnosed by the computer. Also what needs to be replaced at this mileage normally?

Ok, was the jeep running rough before you filled the "oil tank"? If not, did you overfill it? Too much oil will cause a vehicle too run like garbage, causes oil aeration, oil won't flow due to air in it. Had tune up lately, changed air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs?

Any engine trouble codes can be read for free at Autozone, they will come out, hook up hand-held scanner, then read the codes and tell you what they indicate COULD be going on with the engine.

Regarding what is normally changed, the above listed stuff, plus see your owners manual for maintenance schedule, probably will direct you to change transmission fluid and filter, o2 senors (not ALWAYS needed), cooling system flush. Many possibilities.

Can you be more specific regarding Running rougher? Always? On accelleration only? Idling? Is it engine related or transmission shifting is rough? More data, please!
