1995 Jeep Cherokee driver door won't open

My driver door won't unlock from inside or outside. I tried to take the panel off and unlock via the linkage cable. I broke the manual linkage cable by pulling too hard. The electric door lock actuates but does not fully disengage the lock.
Other than the "Jaws of Life" is there another solution?

You have the panel off, thats good. What is happening is the door release part is not returning to rest, this is why the unlock wont unlock. So you need to make sure the inner and outer linkage is all the way at rest position then it should unlock for you then pull latch release.
