I have a 1995 Jeep cherokee, 4.0l inline 6 motor with 100,000 miles on it. It is 4wd. When I take off from being stopped it makes a clicking noise up front all the way through 3rd gear. The harder I push on the accelerator the louder the noise. This happens especially when I make turns. This noise happens about 75% of the time when I accerate. Any ideas what it is?? It is like a very loud rattling coming from the engine compartment. I thought it might be the catalytic converter, but I replaced it and that wasn't it. Please help!! Thanx

have the lifter adjustment checked. they will make more of a noise when the vehicle is under pressure. since it does not happen all the time check the oil level. you might need a oil and filter change.
