is one of your manuals a Haynes manual? If so, check the Clutch/Drivetrain section for diagram - should have info for command-trac, selectrac. I'm looking at a manual for a regular jeep cherokee, shows 4wd indicator light and vacuum switch for command-trac. Wiring diagrams in back (chap 12) do show a switch in the guage/warning light section, but no location. I'm guessing this will be a matter of following wires either back from the front differential to the console, or vice-versa. Problem is, your warning light doesn't specify if it's the position indicator switch in the shifter console, or a vacuum motor switch down at the differential. Do you have an owner's manual to indicate why this light would come on?
