1994 Jeep Cherokee

this began with my headlights not turning on. i beat on the dash near the switch and they worked for a few days, then quit working. As I played around with the switch , I pulled the shaft out by accident. After replacing the shaft the headlights worked, but no tail lights, dash lights, or dome light. Dome light still works when door is opened, but not from headlight switch. I replaced headlight switch and situation is still headlights work, but not tail lights, dash lights, or dome light. Brake lights are fine as is turn signal. Is there a relay or separate internal switch or fuse I should look for, or what?

you have the wiring grounding somewhere more likely where some dash survice has been done and the wires where not held or (taped hint hint)out of the way and are being pinched and grounded or if it has aluminum tape around the vents it can flake off and land in the a/c controles, ground and fry the lights on swich and the front lights will still work

i had the same problem on my last truck
thought it was the radio(dash work) was installed rong for about a year and only fond out when i had to replace the a/c on butten

hope i helped some
