1993 Jeep Cherokee Problems starting vehicle

1993 Jeep Cherokee 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and we're having problems starting it. It takes 5-10 minutes to start. We have to continually crank until it starts. Tried changing the fuel pump, didn't help. We tuned it up with everything and still no results. Some one said it was the EGR valve and we cannot locate it on the vehicle.

THe EGR is on the intake, but I doubt that is causing the problem. Have you checked the fuel pressure since you replaced the fuel pump? Will is start quickly with starting fluid? Are you getting spark the entire time it won't start? How many miles are on it?
