1993 Jeep Cherokee Help!

So I drove me jeep to the store and it had started fine, when I went to leave the engine light came on and it would not start. What could that be?

If it is not starting, the CEL is just going through it's bulb check. IS the engine cranking or nothing happening when you turn the key?

It does make the cranking noise, and I was able to jump start it. Could it just be a battery problem?

If it is cranking. Engine turning over, then the battery is doing it job. So jumping is doing nothing.

The problem relies in on or more of 3 areas.
Fyuel spark or compression at the proper time is not happening.

What is the fuel pressure? If you spray some carb cleaner into the throttle body, does it start?
