Has the check engine light come on? Any vacuum leaks? Have you checked for a plugged catylatic converter?

Crank shaft position sensor or idle position sensor

I'm not sure I understand your question. Did you get a trouble code identifying one of the sensors mentioned?

Also, if you slip the trans into neutral, will it still die?

Curious what of anything you just mentioned jas anything to do with transmission???
