When i got the jeep it had the wrong valve cover cap on it. The thing that was used as a valve cover cap had a hjose venting into the air. I put the right cap on it and now it seems to leaK oil from several different areas. It seems to be buidling up pressure and pushing the oil out. What could it be? Something plugged up or what? Where should I start to look?

It has the 4.0 6 cylinder in it. Does this mean I'll have to replace all the seals once I fix the PVC?

See my profile............If you see ALOT of SMOKE PUFFS blowing out of CAP hole, and other holes in the valve cover when the holes are opened..........This is called "BLOW-BY"............This occurs when the rings on the pistons are GUMMED UP/ STUCK IN PISTON GROOVES/ or just plain old WORN OUT..........COMBUSTION just blows around them because they can no longer SEAL the cylinders off between the bottom side of the pistons and the airspace internally in the engine.........HOWEVER!!!!

You might free them up...if stuck/ gummy.....by running 1 quart of MARVEL MYSTERY OIL....in place of 1 quart of oil when you change your oil....this is not an instantanious fix, takes a little time, may do it several oil changes, try this 1st...............If no positive results.........Maybe try an engine flush (normally used to flush out sludge build-up in your crankcase)........NO GUARANTEES either will work.......both available at most auto parts stores.

Hope this works, and no need to rebuild your engine.

Love, Turddog
