I can't turn ignition key and remove it. I believe the problem is with the linkage or switch that is toward the bottom of the steering column. I've had problems with it in the past. How did I get to that switch so I can replace it? Do you know of any online repair video or anything? Thanks.

You have to lower the steering column to get to the switch. There are two 15mm nuts that hold it up. Are you certain its the switch? Sometimes the lock cylinder seize also.

No, it is the switch at the end of the linkage. I've had problems in the past and the switch, or part of the switch was replaced at a garage. Laid off and got to repair it myself now. Have not had the key out for months. Was starting and driving fine, just could not turn key cylinder all the way back to get key out. Yesterday car would not start because the switch was not making contact. Played and got it started. I know of the two nuts you are talking about but I seem to recall that even after you lower the column you still can't get to the switch? 17 and snowing outside so I am not working on it today.
