Hi I have slight engine roughness with fault codes P1638, P1000, P0171, and P0174. Is this a MAF or something more involved. What should I check first?

No recent repairs. It revs up fine. Just has a misfiring at idle(engine roughness) and codes that will not erase. I would of just replaced the MAF but it has the other code for the computer. I also don't want to because every time I had ANY car with a fault code besides the MAF, replacing the MAF did not do anything but burn money. Any help greatly is appreciated.

I will start by checking all of the fuses and relays. The battery is good.

O.K. To be sure would need car scanned by diagnostic tool to confirm but maybe faulty ECM because of lean codes and 1638. Don't think replacing MAF is way to go try cleaning with a MAF cleaner. THe 1000 is the problem some ECM functions inhibited and must be relearned
So dealer may need to flash ECM to correct. Try this Disconnect battery for couple minutes see if codes are erased.
