TOP WILL NOT LOWER
Symptom
Pressing the top control switch has no effect on the convertible top system or rear quarter glass.
Possible Causes
Low battery voltage or blown fuse. Ignition off or faulty. Short circuit in top down switch. Open circuit in top latch closed switch. Top control switch faulty. Body Processor Module (BPM) is not receiving signal from top switch. Top ready-to-latch/top raised switch input to BPM is shorted to ground. The BPM is not sending open/close message. Standard Corporate Protocol (SCP) failure (module communication system failure).
