1998 Jaguar XK8 XK8 Blower fan

Engine Cooling problem
1998 Jaguar XK8 V8 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 108862 miles

It is not unusual in the summer for the blower fan to come on after I have driven the car some distance. However, it is now coming on intermittently when I am driving. The gauges are all showing correct readings and I am not getting any messages from the computer. Any idea what's going on? ALso, is it save to continue driving it?

Climate control system is a fully automatic temperature controlled heating and air conditioning system. Management of system is through a control panel allowing full automatic control of selected temperature within a 62-88 °F (17-31 °C) range, or by manual override control of temperature, blower speeds, and air distribution.
