In re: TRAC and ASC NOT AVAILABLE warning lights
These warning lights came on some months ago and stayed on, although the systems seem to be functioning perfectly normally. I have been told by some "amateurs" that replacing the battery might solve the problem--the car has 48,000 miles on the original battery. Do you agree with this? Apparently it is a fairly common complaint...

have the vehicle plugged into a diagnostic computer to check for any fault codes stored
