1999 XJ8 Vanden Plas - How are the cylinders laid out
I've discovered that my second cylinder is causing problems but am trying to find a diagram (I own a shop manual on CD, but cannot find this information on it) of how the cylinders are laid out.
Can anyone share this information by either a diagram or saying something to the effect of:
"the cylinders on the drivers side are ....." Do they count from the front or the back, etc.
I just need to figure this out.
Thanks,

They are numbered (from the drivers seat) from front to rear passenger side first 1-2-3--4 then drivers side 5-6-7-8. Hope this helps. I have attached a diagram.

You can try replacing the boots on the coils first, that was all mine required. It felt like the car was going to choke down at idle. They had blue/brown spots on them and appeared ok but weren't. Check out the posts on roadfly.com/jaguar/forums you can search for issues. I'm listed as LeeXJ8ducati
