Hi,
I have a 1999 XJ8. I appear to have a problem with the battery discharging while the ignition is switched off. If I put an ammeter between the battery +ve and the earth strap the meter shows the battery is discharging. I pulled all the fuses one after another but none stopped the discharge. I then thought it may be discharging through the alternator so I disconnected this. But the discharge still appears.
I am now at a loss. Has anybody got any suggestions?
Also can anybody recommend a good manual that covers the electrics on this car?
