1998 Jaguar XJ8 front suspension wishbone bushes
1998 Jaguar XJ8 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 128000 miles
Hi,how easy is it to renew the wishbone rubber bushes?Will I need special tools.
Can the job be performed "on the ground", not reqiring a car lift?

LOWER CONTROL ARM
Removal (1997 XJR & XJ6)
Remove coil spring. See COIL SPRINGS . Disconnect brake pad wear sensor connector. Remove brake caliper with brake pads, and wire aside. Using ball joint remover, separate tie rod end from steering arm.
Remove steering rack-to-crossmember securing bolts, and remove spacers. Remove upper ball joint securing bolts. Note position of and collect caster adjustment shims. Remove cotter pin securing fulcrum shaft nut. Remove fulcrum shaft nut.
Remove shock absorber lower securing bolt and nut. Lower the lower control arm stub axle assembly. Partially remove fulcrum bolt to remove control arm member. Remove serrated washer. Move steering rack to remove fulcrum shaft, rear control arm member and stub axle assembly.
