OCCASIONALLY MY JAG WILL STOP, IT HAPPENS WHEN I AM EITHER AT A STOP IN TRAFFIC OR COMING TO A STOP, THIS HAPPENS WITH NO WARNING, ALL THE LIGHTS COME ON. IT WILL START AGAIN RIGHT AWAY, HOWEVER. IT MAY HAPPEN TODAY AND NOT AGAIN UNTIL TOMORROW OR SEVERAL DAYS LATER. WE REPLACED THE CRANK SYSTEM, SAME PROBLEM. THE CAR HAS ALWAYS BEEN WELL MAINTAINED, LOW MILEAGE, OTHER THAN THIS, NO PROBLEMS. PLEASE HELP! MY MECHANIC AND THE DEALERSHIP HAVEN'T FOUND THE PROBLEM

(I HAVE DONATED)

Ask the dealer to do a road test while hooked up to a diagnostic computer/scanner and try and recreate the fault while monitioring all systems !

POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM)
A PCM controls fuel injection and ignition systems. PCM is located underdash, behind passenger's side kick panel. PCM maintains optimum engine performance under any operating condition by metering fuel delivery into each cylinder and adjusting ignition timing.
All system control functions are controlled by a microprocessor in the PCM, which receives information from various sensors located on and around the engine. System is equipped with a limp-home mode to permit continued engine operation in the event of certain sensor failures.
