1993 Jaguar XJ6

I have ranseveral test on this car. It seems to be getting fuel through the injectors and it fires. The engine is in time. When I try to run the diagnostics through the on-board computer, it does not flash trouble codes. However, it repeatedly flashes "PAO FAIL" and my repair manual says nothing about this. As a matter of fact, I've had no luck at finding anyone who can tell me what this means. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Alan

sounds like the computer may be bad .. if you are getting fuel and spark the vehicle should be at least attemting to start .. check compression !

Does it read PAO FAIL, or just PAO? PAO code is probably PAD, and refers to the disc brake pad sensor indicating that brake pads are worn or sensor is bad. It should not affect how the car runs so this is problem may not be related to your engine issues.

Not a problem. Please don't take my comment the wrong way. This site is only made better by additions like yours. The people who posted that may not benefit from your addition but others who visit the page in the future will. Thanks again.
