1990 XJ6 Plugs

I should know more than this- but I know enough to NOT proceed until I know.

Is there any trick to replacing the plugs on the 4.0 straight 6? The last thing I want to do is yank on a plug boot and tear the end of it off.

I am a relatively competent mechanic, but the new (to me) kitty has me spooked. Any words of advice, comfort, constructive criticism welcomed.

Also- recommendations for the best service manual for the Jaguar (1990 XJ6 Sovereign)?

Just wiggle it, push down, pull, wiggle some more and presto!Dont worry all of them are a little stiff and hard to pull. When you get them off spray a little white grease on the tips (not to much)Next time they will slide out easy! :D
