All of a sudden while driving the car will lose power?

I have a 2004 jag xtype 3.0 awd all of a sudden while driving the car will lose power but still run with trans light then engine light. You have to turn the car off and then back on and its fine. Its happened 3x in 4 days. Please help. Thanks

Hello,

One of the common reasons for an engine to go into low power or limp mode is a dirty throttle actuator. Over time the throttle actuator can have dirt and debris built up inside. Which can cause it to send incorrect data to the ECM and that could trigger the limp mode.
