2002 Jaguar X-Type did not tirn off the transmission/engine

2002 Jaguar X-Type 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 45,000 miles
hi! my car was not use nor start for past 7days, then yesterday when ew're going to use it, the indicator for transmission/engine malfunction did not turn off, then i test drive it and it looked like the transmission stocks in 3rd or 4th gear, then i was going to check for the transmission oil but i could'nt find the deepstick, what should i do? please help me, thanks- mr.hizon

Hi there,
The Jag X type must be returned to a dealer to have the trans oil checked, this is done with a special tool and is checked from under the car on a hoist, they can run a scan at the same time to check for any unresolved fault codes for the transmission.
