This is the second engine in this car. It has about 120000 miles on it. I've been told that it probably has little to no compression. They also say that this particular engine has some type of coating on the cylinder walls that prematurely wears out due to high sulfur content in U.S. fuel. What other engines can be put in that don't have that coating? Can my engine be bored and new pistons and rings be installed? Are updated rebuild kits available? Will 2000 or 2001 4.0 engines work? Need help....car is still a great driver.
