2004 Jaguar S-Type Gas trap door
Interior problem
2004 Jaguar S-Type 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 68000 miles
I am unable to open the gas trap door. I’ve tried the interior latch and the emergency latch located in the trunk. The door remains shut and I’m almost out of gas. I can’t make it to a garage with the fuel remaning. Can you propose a solution to open the trap door?

if the emergency release is not working either than your best bet is to take a flat bladed tool (screwdriver) and tape up the end so it will not scratch paint. force the fuel door open with it and then you can fuel up and leave the door cracked open until you have a chance to repair whatever has broken
