2002 Jaguar S-Type V8 Automatic 85,000 miles
My transmission fault light turned on and then my check engine light turned on also, the car would kick at 35-40 mph. The code on my computer said pressure control solenoid c. My mechanic found a broken spring in the transmission and fixed it. The car runs fine and doesnt kick but when i drove it out of the shop the transmission fault light turned back on. When i turn the car off, the light is off but as soon as i hit 40 mph, the transmission fault comes on but no check engine light. My mechanic cant figure out why since the engine light doesnt turn on to give a code. What can it be?

have the car plugged into a jaguar diagnostic system .. the TCM may need a software reflash !
