when it's cold and try to start the car,it starts,but will not stay started. it shakes side to side and will cut off if i don,t continue giving it gas. once it warms alittle,and i drive it,it hesitates accelerating until it is fully warmed up. i asked my mechanic to give me a tune-up thinking it was misfiring due to spark plugs needing replaced but he said jaguars are only required to get one at 100,000 miles. i have been told i have transmission problems in the past and i have to drive in 3rd gear to avoid burning it all the way out until i can get a new one,but i dont see a connection with that and the problems in the cold. its almost as if its not getting gas or its misfiring because it shakes so violently when trying to start it. help!!!
