Engine Cooling problem
1998 Isuzu Rodeo Question 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

I just wanted to ask I am trading a car for a 1998 Isuzu rodeo that is overheating I went and looked at it I heard a crunching sound from the front bottom of the engine where the water pump is so I took off the radiator cap and looked inside and there was no circulation so I believe the water pump has went out. Just want to know if this is what it sounds like to anyone else

they say it only overheats at speed we left it idle for about 30 minutes and it never overheated There is no smoke from the tail pipe. I also hear like a clicking from under the timing cover which is were the water pump is on this vehicle and the timing is off a little it turns over a couple times before it starts they said that started at the same time the overheating did which made me believe the pump went bad since it is ran by the timing belt.
