My Isuzu is very heavy on fuel, 7.5km/L. What can the problem be and What can I do about it?

Hi JOHAN111,
Fuel consumption is very subjective, it varies with driving condition.
Possible causes.
1. Engine out of tune, ie ignition timing, crank and cam out of sync, idling speed too high.
2. Clogged fuel filter, air filter.
3. Faulty sesnors.
4. Thermostat stuck open.
5. Dragging brakes,
6. Slipping clutch.
