The motor starts normally and idle sound okay. But when accelerating it misses [maybe only one cylinder]. After reaching speed it stills misses but it is barely noticeable.

Hi,

Does the check engine light turn on or flash when this is happening? If so, you need to scan the computer. There will be a diagnostic trouble codes that indicates which cylinder has the issue. Here is a quick video showing how it is done:

I realize most people don't own a scanner, but most parts stores will do it for free or even lend or rent one to you. This is where we should start. You will most likely find a code that starts with P030.

If you can, let me know what you find or feel free to let me know if you have questions or need help.

Take care,
Joe
