car won't start with first turn of key

96 Infinity I30, 110,000miles, 3 liter V6.
Quite often, but not always, several turns of the key are required before the motor will turn over. When it does, it starts immediately. I have charged the battery and checked connections. I haven't noticed any other electrical problems. Thanks.

You might want to check the fuel pressure-pump might be getting lazy or the fuel pressure regulator. Electronic Fuel Injection don't like inaccurate fuel pressures-
