I changed the starter on the the 2000 infiniti I30. I put all the hoses back and I put the intake system back together correctly. When you rev the engine or push the accelerator down more than half way the car sputters and the rpms drop. When driving if you try to accelerate fast or go faster than 40 mphs the car hesitates and nearly cuts off. Need ot get this car running right to trade for another car. I got trouble code P0100 from autozone scan. I'm looking to replace the MAF, if I do that do I have to reflash the computer or should the check engine light go off. I saw on the the ticket from autozone that one of the causes of the MAF code is a large vacuum leak on the engine or open circuit. How likely will a replacement of the MAF work. I don't wanna goto a shop and pay 45 to 99 dollars for a diagnosis and they say the same.

Try cleaning the MAF sensor with an approved cleaner and see what happens. If the code don't come back and continues to hesistate-check and test below

Oxygen sensor.
Catalytic converter.
Fuel injectors dirty/sticking.
Mass airflow sensor/Airflow meter.
Throttle position sensor.
Manifold absolute pressure sensor.
EGR Valve
