I have a 96 infiniti i30 that is being difficult and overheats.
Facts: It will not overheat if I leave it idle. The fans do come on. No coolant leaks. No oil leaks. I have replaced the thermostat so I know it is not that. The radiator looks almost brand new on the inside and I did flush the system. I felt both inlet and outlet hoses and both were warm so I would imagine the water pump is working. Checked all fuses and relays, all work.
After the car warms up to operating temp, and I am driving up a hill, under load, above 2500rpm's or on the highway about (60-70mph) the car will slowly start to over heat. If i turn my heat on full blast, the temp gauge starts going down and will run at operating temp so long as the heat is on full blast. If I do not turn the heat on and let off the gas and it will start to come down as well.
Whats the problem?
