Heater problem
2003 Infiniti G35 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 55K miles

When the car is at light or sitting still the heat will only blow cold, when the car is in moton the heat does a good job. Auy suggestions on what this might be or how to correct this problem. This is happening when the car is up to running tempature.

The coolent level in car is fine, no repairs have been done to the coolent system other than a fluid change at 35K or a couple years ago.

Hi eep,

Thank you for the donation.

Did you check the coolant level in the radiator?
Was any repairs carried prior to this occurring?

Possible causes for the problem are :

1. Thermostat stuck in open position.
2. Air in cooling system.
3. Kinks or leaks in hoses.
4. Radiator cap.
5. Faults in control system.

A special scan tool would be required to to go into diagnostics if it is a fault with the control system.
