I smell gas when my car is just parked in driveway. I'm assuming a gas leak? If that's the problem, how do I track down the leak and fix it? Could it be something else? I just had to replace the alternator and belts, and the two fans have quit running. I'm hoping I can figure out why the fans arent running. Would these two things have anything to do with each other?

Gas leaks would leave stains and if you go along the fuel lines, you should be able to see them if any leaks are visible. If no leaks are available, then it could be from the EVAP system.

The fans not running could be due to a fault in the wiring or controls. Start with checks to the fuses and power supply.

Thanks! I'm going to work on the gas leak as soon as I can at least get the car running with the fan/overheating issue. I ordered and picked up a relay today for the cooling fan and when I saw it, it was way too small than the one needed to be replaced in the fuse box area.I've looked at the fuse box diagram, and am sure that this is where it goes.? Any ideas?
