I just got my car out of the shop for a rack and pinion replacement, alignment and front rotors.

Runs great. But i noticed that when i turn the car on, turning the ignition key, it feels to me that the engive is kicking a bit when started. it used to start smooth and quiet. its pretty much feels like something kicks now. it starts up fine. runs fine. doesnt make noiise necessarily, but i can feel and hear something up front kick on. what could it be?

did this just start after rack replacement? does the noise happen when engine is turning over? does it feel like its vibrating in gear? im trying to picture this in my head what you are talking about and what comes to mind is maybe a weak battery (they could have left the door open when working on car and killed the battery then just jumped it to get it started.
