2003 Hyundai Tiburon Air Conditioning Problem
Air Conditioning problem
2003 Hyundai Tiburon 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 98,000 miles
The air conditioning will only work when the dashboard knob is on full blast (there are 4 settings and only 4 will work). Also, if the air conditiong is on, the car will squeel for a while when the car is first turned on and wont stop until it is driven for a minute or so. What could be the problem? The serpentine belt, or more?

Hi cdilworth,
Thank you for the donation.
The squealing noise should be from the drivebelts. Check the drive belts conditions and tension and adjust/replace as necessary.
The blower motor working only in highest speed mode indicates the power transistor is bad. The power transistor is located at the blower motor housing.
