I have my 2001 Sonata v6 2.5 GLS. I bought it cheap as a theft recovery, where they busted the whole ignition under the column. This car has a replacement engine in it that has been tested to work with a 6 month guarantee, and a replacement ECM, which also was tested to work. I have no power in or out of my coilpack, and no fuel. I suspected this was the ecm, so I replaced it, as my old one did not give a signal to the code reader, but now the new one is too. Does this car have an immoblizer possibility, and, if so, how do I reset it. If not, would towing the car to the dealership to reprogram the ECM work to get this going? I have already ruled out crank sensor, as it did the same on both engines, and wiring is all good, also, no power to and from the coils.

The ign coil has its own fuse in the engine comp. Power center, does it have power to and through it, check fuse 5 too, they have the same power source. When you say no fuel, do you mean no fuel pump or nothing out of the injectors? Also check the ECM control relay in the underhood power center to be sure it is working. Does the engine have spark?
