I have a 2001 Hyundai Sonata with 80,000 miles. Runs fine, but after driving several miles, the check-engine light comes on and the transmission sticks in third gear and will not shift. Even if manually shifted to first or second, it stays in third until I stop the car.

If I stop and kill the ignition and then restart, it runs and shifts fine again but engine light remains lit. The problem may or may not return after several miles of driving.

Any thoughts?

Get the transmission service, if Input Turbine Speed Sensor CKT Malfunctioning keeps coming back.-replace the speed sensor, the P1529 might be caused by the speed sensor-
