2000 Hyundai Sonata Mass air flow sensor
Engine Performance problem
2000 Hyundai Sonata 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 189,00 miles
I need a mass air flow sensor, is it best to buy a new one or would a rebuilt do the job as well? Also, I've been shopping around, I found one one ebay but its for a 2001 Sonata. Could I use this one for my 2000 Sonata?

Its not the same part no. #2816438080 on the2000 and 2001 #2816437100 its not gonna work

Hey.
Part # 28164-38080 is for the 2000 year in-line 4 cylinder 2.4L engine.
part # 28164-37100 is for both 2000 and 2001 year V6 engines and is compitable with your vehicle ..it also fits 2.5L/2.7L sonata/tiburon and sante fe vehicles .. so, as long as you get one for a V6 it will fit your car .. and a reconditioned unit is OK to buy
